A few words from Sue Ashford.

How we started Information

Skin-n-Ink was established some 15 years ago by John, Dai and myself. Being avid fans of tattoos & piercings we set out with enthusiasm to open a unique well respected studio, putting out top quality work.

John and I were both keen bikers and visited many tattoo conventions before they became popular. John had his first tattoos off Micky Black, and my first tattoos were done by  John, needless to say the tattoos and the bike environment pushed us towards tattooing and that was about 25 years ago.

I studied for a nursing diploma which has been really beneficial to my piercings, and the knowledge I have gained has been incorporated by us all at Skin-n-Ink. That's why we can offer such a high standard that's second to none.

Our present team are passionate about their work and have won numerous awards and publications, some have even been invited to work at venues like 'The Cannes Festival' and it’s a well known fact that others praise the standard of our work that leave our studios. We are surprised at the influence we have on tattooing & piercing in general, almost all newly opened studios around Swansea were inspired by us!.

We love our business, we have met some fabulous customers who have become good friends, and our team are the very best, that's why they are here. We have all become like a happy family. Today we have customers that travel internationally just to get a tattoo or piercing from us, that alone demonstrates that such dedication & professionalism has earned us the fantastic reputation that is known far & wide.

I love my job here at Skin-n-Ink, people are so pleased after having a piercing done, and in order to offer such a standard to everyone, I set up the Welsh Professional Piercing Association.
